ABOUT KEL-BERG
Kel-Berg started in the mid-1980s, by Group Managing Director Jens Larsen, with an initial focus on supplying tractor units to the Scandinavian and German export markets. As the market grew and evolved, the company relocated to its current purpose-built offices and workshops in Weston-on-the-Green, Oxfordshire.
To support this expansion two key personnel joined the team. Ronnie Verner, to lead UK Production, and Simon Hall to lead Sales. Today, both remain with the business as Directors, leading an experienced and dedicated team.
This relocation allowed us to start designing and manufacturing our own truck and trailer equipment. By using the experience gained from the success of our activities in Europe, we began building equipment tailored specifically for the UK operator’s needs.
By the early 2000s, the Kel-Berg had expanded its operations to serve the construction industry with an extended range of equipment, including tipping trailers, concrete mixers, and grab loaders.
MOTs & PX SERVICING
A significant part of the company’s success has been our continual investment, regularly improving our capabilities so that we can better serve our customers.
This started with the integration of a drive-through DVSA authorised testing lane and an IVA lane, allowing us to improve our capacity to service and certify part exchange equipment.
PRODUCTION AUTOMATION
This was followed a pivotal moment in our technological evolution with a major site expansion in 2016.
The acquisition of a robotic welder, laser cutter, and brake press for our Danish manufacturing facility elevated our production capabilities, enabling us to achieve superior precision and consistency across all bodywork.
PAINT & CORROSION PROTECTION
More recently, further investment has been made in state-of-the-art paint facilities and metallisation equipment to improve the corrosion protection offered on all our products.
MOUNTING CAPACITY
Our operational capacity has been significantly expanded, with the UK workshop now featuring over 20 mounting bays, complemented by our Danish manufacturing facility, which houses over 50 bays. This scale allows us to maintain a diverse product portfolio and ensure the high quality and speed of delivery our customers have come to expect.
