TOM PRICE TRANSPORTING IN STYLE.

Powys based aggregate haulier continues to impress with his new T100 trailer that is as unique as the last.

Situated in the county of Powys, mid Wales, is Tom Price Transport. Solely owned by Tom Price, the company has been operating from their single site for just over 9 years. In that time the company has largely bought and sold aggregate throughout the UK.

Tom began his company with a DAF tractor unit but has since moved to Scania’s, of which he operates two. “I like the reliability and the vehicle is comfortable to drive. You pay a bit more for them but the good resale value makes up for it when you come to sell them”.

Behind his Scania tractors are Kel-Berg T100 aggregate tipping trailers, which we have to say are some of the smartest we have had the pleasure of preparing. Tom took his first T100 in March 2020 was an all black finish with DuraBright wheels matched to his all back Scania S650 V8 tractor unit.

We recently delivered his second trailer, another T100 aggregate trailer finished with a white body and metallic blue chassis to match Tom’s other tractor unit; a Scania sleeper cab R450. Tom also operates a flat bed for haulage of lighter goods such as straw.

Tom was in need of a new trailer in order to continue the expansion of his business. You’ll likely see this trailer delivering aggregate for Breedon.

When asked why he chooses Kel-Berg, Tom had this to say. “I became aware of the company when I saw the trailers on the back of other people’s units. I like the company and the product.

The things that stand out to me on the T100 are the weight, strength and reliability. It also has great stability. It does what it needs to do and it gets the job done. Also, I like being able to call Kel-Berg and get things sorted out. You can customise your trailer to how you want it and it’s never any bother, I can make a decision and its not long before the trailer is ready and I can collect it.
